Lest We Forget….

It doesn’t matter where we are…it’s important to remember our brave Canadian soldiers and all that they have done for us.

As part of our homeschooling, we created a short video on the Canadian war effort based on our visits to different Canadian battle sites in Northern France and Belgium.

    1. HI Mae,

We’re glad you will share it with your colleagues. Every Canadian should see the battle sites and cemeteries so they can learn about how their great grandparents sacrificed so much so we have such a wonderful country and way of life.

      Warmly,
      Katina:)

  5. Your tribute is beautiful and very moving.

    1. Hi,

It was very depressing going around the cemeteries and seeing all of those graves of the young soldiers who died. It was also very nice to see that they were respected and well taken care of.

      1. Hi Zoe, last night, Nov. 11, was a programme on TV and it showed many of the sites that you visited. Through your detailed postings and photos Opa and I looked at all the sites in a different, more informed way. Thank you again for all your postings, sad or happy. XOXOXO’s

  10. Hi Katina,
Thanks for sharing! This was played at our assembly this morning, and I really think it helped our students have a better understanding of today and why it’s important to remember. My class has been completing different tasks about WWI, I intend to show this to them again tomorrow, so they can have a deeper understanding. Thank you!

  11. Hello all,

We watched your video during our Remembrance Day Assembly today. It made all the names and words we hear more poignant. Thank you for sharing what you saw with us. It was a very emotional assembly as it always is.

    1. Hi Iniyal,

I’m glad the students had a chance to see the video. From visiting the battle sites and memorials throughout Europe, the girls felt strongly that it was important to share their learning with others. We are glad the students at MacMillan had a chance to see it and hopefully have a better understanding of the sacrifices involved.

Have a great rest of the term,
      Katina:)
