Happy 60th Birthday Disneyland!
While staying with the Mech family in L.A, we thought it would be a lot of fun to go to Disneyland together. So off we went, the four of us with Teta Stephanie, Caiden and Keon. Unfortunately, Uncle Brian was busy, so could not join us on this adventure.
We went on many rides and had a blast!
Here are some of my favourite rides we went on (in no order):
It’s A Small World
This ride was a lot of fun and brings back great memories for Mikhaila and I. We used to go on this same ride over and over and over again in Orlando… The song got on my parents’ nerves after awhile! This ride is about the different countries around the world. We recognized a lot of them from our travels such as India with the Taj Mahal, and France with the Eiffel Tower and Moulin Rouge.
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
This ride was interesting because it takes place in the Great Barrier Reef, where we snorkelled when we visited Australia. The two were definitely different but awesome!
Autopia
Autopia was a lot of fun because it was like driving a real car. Thankfully, there was an island to keep us from going into other lanes. You can even get a drivers licence, but it costs money.
Space Mountain
I loved this ride because it was fast and fun! It was as if we were in space with tonnes of stars and planets. Since Mikhaila doesn’t like roller coasters she did not come on with me. Luckily, Caiden liked roller coasters and was a great friend to have around.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
This one was my favourite ride because we had the most awesome adventure I have ever had at a theme park. We were on a really fast roller coaster climbing up a huge hill full of TNT and explosives, when suddenly the roller coaster stopped! We sat there for awhile while everyone took photos and then finally some staff members came and rescued us. They had to turn on all of the emergency lights and we had to evacuate the ride. We got to see a lot of little secrets used for the ride!
Rides were not the only things we did at Disneyland. We were able to see two parades; One was the Character Parade and the other one was the new “Paint the Night Parade”.
The Character Parade
There were so many different characters such as Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Belle, Mary Poppins and many more with huge floats. My favourite float was the one with all of the princesses that I have known for most of my life.
The Paint the Night Parade
The Paint the Night Parade was at night so all of the giant floats were lit up. There was Tinker Bell, Frozen, Monsters Inc. and many more. My favourite float was Frozen because the float was beautiful and because Anna waved and smiled at our camera!
But rides and parades were not all we did; we also watched a show called Fantasmic and a lot of fireworks.
Fantasmic
This show was really interesting because it was projected on water as well as acted on land. It was about Micky Mouse’s imagination and how some evil witches tried to take it over. There were great props like a giant dragon used onstage.
The Fireworks
To end off the night we watched a fireworks show. It was awesome! They played music from all different Disney movies and added fireworks to go with them. It was so beautiful.
We also have been to two other theme parks on this trip. One in Germany at Octoberfest and one in India at Wonderla. Now we can add Disneyland to the list! It also reminded me a book series that I am currently reading, called The Land of Stories By Chris Colfer. It is all about two twins (Alex and Conner Bailey) who accidentally fall into the Land of Stories where all of the fairytale characters live and have adventures.
We had such a great time at Disneyland with Teta Stephanie, Caiden and Keon. We hope to visit again!
